The one I have doesn't have any markings on the barrel, I found the name on the butt plate, and the letters were so worn I could barely read it. Their single barrels are valued from $35 to $150, double barrels $100-$400 depending on condition. Shattuck was best known for inexpensive handgun and single barrel shotguns. He returned at least once to Vermont for a military reunion. Shattuck served with the 6th Vermont Infantry in the Civil War and later lived on Main St. In 1910 the only arms being turned out was a new four-shot pistol*, but for how long is unknown. The manufacture of guns was abandoned in 1909.
